Bible Reading / 3 Biblical Strategies for Making Tough Decisions

Day 3 | Get Good People in Your Corner

Read: 1 Kings 12:6-20

Who do you go to for advice? If you need advice about studying for a test, you might ask the smartest kid in class for some tips. If you need advice about investments, you might ask a banker what she recommends. If you need advice about raising kids, you might ask a couple who has already raised their kids and can come alongside you.

When we need direction, we can talk to God about it. We can also seek advice from people who have had a relationship with God for a while, who show faith and wisdom in their own lives. People who seek God in prayer and in the Bible. People who desire to follow God more closely and want the same for you.

In our busy lives, finding friends and building relationships must be intentional. It won’t happen on accident. One way to find people who can walk alongside you as you follow God is to join a Group at LCBC. There are Groups for all kinds of life stages and interests. Check out our Group Finder and find your people today!

Prayer: God, I don’t want to do this life alone. Help me to be courageous in building relationships. Help me be a comfort to others, as well. Amen.
