Bible Reading / When Life Throws You a Curveball

Day 4: Joseph's Story | What do you do when life isn't fair?

Read: Genesis 37:23-28, Genesis 39:2-6, Genesis 50:19-21

Few people have experienced as much injustice as Joseph. Imagine being sold into slavery by your own siblings and being imprisoned for something you didn’t do. Joseph experienced both of these things and more.

Despite facing unthinkable hardships, Joseph remained faithful to God. With God's guidance, Joseph rose to a position of authority in Egypt, ultimately saving the country from famine. Joseph's life demonstrates how God can turn unfair situations into something extraordinary.

Joseph's story teaches us that even in the most difficult and unfair circumstances, God can work wonders. When we encounter tough times and harbor negative feelings, we can turn to prayer and surrender our emotions to God. He can grant us a fresh perspective and show us how he can bring good out of challenging situations, just like he did for Joseph.

Trusting in God's plan and seeking his guidance can lead us to a greater purpose, even when life feels unfair. Follow Joseph's example and rely on God's strength to overcome obstacles and find hope amidst adversity.

Prayer: Surrender any feelings of bitterness or resentment to God and seek his perspective.
