Read:
Isolation is one of the hardest kinds of chaos. It makes us feel abandoned, weak—and too often it tempts us to give in to despair or unhealthy coping mechanisms.
These wilderness seasons are real, and Jesus understands exactly how they feel. He was driven into the wilderness himself. He faced temptation, and experienced loneliness and testing firsthand. He knows the ache of being isolated and the struggle to remain faithful when life feels empty.
But the wilderness wasn’t the end of the story—and it’s not the end of yours. You’re never truly alone. God’s presence can sustain your soul even in the driest, loneliest places. He will guide, strengthen, and satisfy you, even when life feels barren. And when we lean into God’s presence and rely on his strength, we can face temptation and isolation without surrendering to old habits. Those dry seasons can become places of growth.
Pray: Jesus, you know what it’s like to feel alone and tempted. Meet me in my wilderness, strengthen me with your presence, and help me trust that I am never truly alone so I can keep growing into who you want me to be. Amen.
