Read:
Before Saul could see anything clearly, someone had to come to him. And the man for the job was Ananais.
Ananais had every right to say no when God sent him. After all, Saul had been hunting down people just like him. But he went. He walked into the house, called him “Brother Saul,” and prayed. Saul’s eyes were opened. Then he got up and was baptized.
There are two things worth noting here. First, Saul’s change was visible. He didn’t just have a private spiritual experience. He got up visibly, noticeably different. That’s what God’s transformation does—it shows.
Second, God used an ordinary person to get Saul there. Not an angel or a burning bush or a booming voice from above. Just Ananias, willing to go where God sent him even though it scared him.
God still works like that. Someone probably brought you to God, too, maybe without you even realizing. And one day, you might be an Ananias for someone else.
Don’t just be grateful your eyes were opened. Use them. Look hard at who God has put in front of you, and be the person willing to walk into the room nobody else will.
Pray: God, show me where I’m still seeing with old eyes. Help me see the work you’ve done in my life, and help me notice the people you’re guiding me toward so I can show them to you. Amen.
