There's a real temptation to keep faith in a box. You give God your weekend, maybe your morals, one corner of your life for "spiritual" stuff—and hold onto the rest for yourself.
But a life fully lived for Jesus doesn't allow for that. Anyone who belongs to Jesus, he says, has become a new person. Not better or improved. New. Their old life is gone.
God wants to make you new, too—and he starts the moment you belong to Jesus. But he works on everything, even the areas you might have considered off-limits: your calendar, your bank account, your habits, and your conversations. The pieces of your life nobody used to touch.
God isn't interested in transforming you halfway. He wants to give you a whole new life. Don’t settle for half of it.
Pray: God, I've kept some doors locked from you. You've made me new, but I've been living like the old me in a few places I don't like to look at. Come into the parts I've fenced off. I trust you with it. Amen.
